Q. Does it cost money to play?
A. No, the game is free to play for the entire season.
Q. Does it cost money to transfer players?
A. No, there are no transaction costs involved.
Q. How many entries are allowed?
A. Only ONE (1) entry per email address is allowed.
Q. Do I have to select all 14 players and a coach every week?
A. You must submit a full team of 15 (14 players and one coach) every week in order to earn points for the week. If you do not select a full 15-man roster, you will earn no points for the Contest Week in which your roster is not full. Part of the strategy of the salary cap style game is to select all 15 players while staying under the salary cap. So, you cannot purposely leave typically lower scoring positions or your bench empty in order to spend more cap money on a typically higher scoring position.
Q. Can I select different formations?
A. You may choose from 4 different formations: 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-4-3 or 3-5-2.
Q. What is the deadline to select my players?
A. All changes to your team must be submitted by 11:30am ET on Saturday, except in Contest Week 18. In Contest Week 18, all teams can be submitted up to 11:30am ET on Sunday, July 27, 2008 and includes games played on Monday, July 28. If a player plays earlier than Saturday in a scoring week, that player is locked 1 hour prior to the start of his first game that week. Please read the official rules posted online for complete transfer deadlines.
Q. Will my roster carry over week-to-week?
A. Yes, your 15 man roster will carry over week-to-week. You can choose to make up to 3 transfers in every Contest Week if needed.
Q. When can I modify my team for the upcoming week's matches?
A. Aside from week 19 (Tuesday), you will be able to adjust your team for the upcoming week's matches starting on Mondays at 11:30am ET.
Q. If I remove a player from my lineup, can I use him again later in the season?
A. Yes, there is no limit to the number of times you can use a player on your roster as long as you remain under the $5M salary cap and do not exceed the 3 transfer limit for the week.
Q. Will player salaries change during the season?
A. During the season, player salaries will be updated on a weekly basis based on performance. Every Monday, player salaries will be announced just prior to the weekly transfer window opening for that week.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of changes I can make to my starting lineup?
A. No. You may move players in and out of the starting lineup as many times as needed up to the transfer deadline each week.
Can I select my coach as a captain?
A. No. Only players in your starting 11 are eligible to be selected as a captain.
Q. Can I create or join a league to participate in?
A. Yes. When entering you can create or join a public or private league of friends or other owners with similar interests, fantasy skill level, etc. to compete against. When creating a league, you will be asked to enter a league name (and password, if private) which can be used by your friends to join at any time. No additional prizes will be awarded for leagues (public or private).
Q. When are scores updated?
A. Updated scores and rankings will always be available the morning after a game is played.
